Short version: you can use Body Doubling AI without an account. We keep very little, and we don't send what you type into a focus session to our servers.

What we store on our servers
The only thing we store is the waitlist. If you choose to join it (after a session, you can leave your email to hear when paid plans open), we save two things in a Cloudflare D1 database:
- your email address, converted to lowercase, and
- the time you submitted it.
That's all. We don't save your name, your session task, or anything else with it. Our server logs do not print email addresses.
To limit spam, the waitlist form is rate limited. For that we keep a hashed (scrambled) version of your IP address together with a counter. We do not store your raw IP address, and expired counters are cleaned up automatically.
Your focus sessions
Right now, the partner's messages in a focus session are written templates that run in your browser. What you type as your task is not sent to our servers to be saved, and it is not sent to an AI service.
What stays in your browser
The site uses your browser's localStorage to remember a few things between visits. These stay on your device and are not uploaded to us:
bd:session: your current session, so it can resume if you reload the pagebd:next-step: the next step you chose to savebd:sessions-started: how many sessions you have startedbd:sessions-completed: how many sessions you have finished
You can remove these at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings. The website does not set cookies.
Site analytics
For basic traffic numbers we use Cloudflare Web Analytics (it loads a script from static.cloudflareinsights.com). It records page views, where visitors came from, and the type of device. It does not use cookies.
Our site is also hosted on Cloudflare, so Cloudflare handles ordinary web traffic data (such as IP addresses) when it delivers pages to you. See Cloudflare's own privacy policy for how it treats that data.
Deleting your data
There is no self-service delete button yet. To have your waitlist email removed, email [email protected] from the address you signed up with, or tell us which address to remove, and we will delete it.
If you have rights over your personal information where you live, you are welcome to write to us at the same address with your request.
Changes to this policy
If we change what we collect, we will update this page and the date at the top.
